HOSTEL – SPANISH IN THE CITY – PANAMA CITY
The hostel of “Spanish in the City” is located on the slopes of CERRO ANCÓN, a hill covered with lush verdant forest in the middle of the City with lots of bird and other animal species: you will be surprised to find this in the City!
The hostel has 4 rooms with in total 12 beds, a living area with cable television, music and dvd player, fully equipped kitchen, computer and wifi in all rooms and around the house. There are places to sit outside in the garden to drink coffee and tea that is free whole day. Breakfast you can order at $4.00

TAKING A BUS OR TAXI TO THE CENTER OF THE CITY:
- Hang out at the pool on the roof of the Veneto Casino, visit the Afro-Antillian Museum, the Miraflores locks to see huge ships go through the locks and visit the museum about the history of the canal.
- Visit the Amador Causeway that connects three islands in front of the city to the mainland. From the causeway, there is a lovely view of Panama City, and the Puente de las Americas. It is possible to rent a bike for about $3.50 per hour and cycle to the end of the causeway and have a meal or drink in one of the many restaurants and bars on the islands.
- In the evening you can go to calle Uruguay to have dinner and go out for a drink or a dance or stroll along the cobbled streets of Casco Viejo, the old part of the city, UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2003.

Apart from the excursions that you can do on your own, you can also take part in one of the three organized excursions:
1) Canal – Casco Viejo ($50) ,
2) Emberaa Indigenous Village ($125), or
3) 2 nights at the San Blas islands ($150)
