1. OTEIMA – PRIVATE UNIVERSITY
In 2008 Spanish at Locations signed an Agreement for Cooperation with the private University “Universidad Tecnológica OTEIMA” (www.oteima.ac.pa) in David. One achievement for Spanish at Locations is that Oteima accredits our Spanish courses and for every 20 hours of study at our school, students can receive 1 credit point that is transferable to their University or High school. If they want to do so, they need to take an exam after finishing their program with us. This exam costs $ 75,- which students need to pay directly to the University. It is important to let us know about the student’s interest in taking this exam when enrolling.
2. BILDUNGSURLAUB
SPANISH BY THE SEA – BOCAS got recognized by the German State BERLIN for the BILDUNGSURLAUB. For the moment only forA1 level but we hope soon to be able to also add A2 – B1 – B2 – C1 and C2.
WHAT IS BILDUNGSURLAUB?
In Germany, the institution of Bildungsurlaub allows employees from any sector to apply for up to an extra 10 days of holidays that should be devoted to learning. In order for a student to be able to spend his Bildungsurlaub at a our school, we needed to become recognized as a Bildungsurlaub centre by a German state authority.
